Navy Pier, Chicago   July 26th, 2003

Well, what can I say.  It was a blast!  The folks in Chicago always treat us right.  Jr. flew in from Ireland the night before so his ass was draggin', and we hadn't played together in two weeks, but it all came together that night.  The sound was excellent, thanks to John.  The weather never threatened and it was a beautiful night.  A lot of family and friends were there.  And the gang from Ireland were wound up tight.  With the exception of a few trillion bugs swarming the stage, it was perfect.  In fact, we set an attendance record that night.  I want to thank Larry for his choice in dance contestants.  I'm glad no one asked them to shimmy or someone could have lost an eye.  Summer in Chicago; you just can't beat it.  I want to thank the blues harp player who sat in at the end.  I didn't catch his name but I hope he shows up next time.  And Thanks to Kristen Leep for the pics.  Anyone who has anymore can send them to us here.  Let's set a new record on August 16th !  See you all there.

The Leeps, en masse

Dancing to "Shout"

Even the kids had "happy Feet"

Hardy was feeling it that night

Jan was feeling something too, although I don't think it was the same thing

And I think Chuck was feeling Miller Lite

I was feeling the bugs, hence the "Safety Glasses"

Larry was in The Zone

Jr., feeling like having a cool beverage
