Navy Pier, Chicago  August 16th, 2003

It was, In a word, HOT!  There was a lot going on in Chicago and we were happy to be a part of it.  The air and water show drew a large crowd to the Pier, primed and ready.  We're starting to see a lot of familiar faces out there and a lot of folks from South Bend too.  Billy and Kathy, and Dave, of course. ("the most under appreciated fans we have" according to wild bill)  Zala and Durgin, O'D and family.  And Ma Leep, who celebrated her birthday with a cake and a song from her son.  We got most of the show in before the rain hit about 11:15.  And the crowd stuck it out for us, until the powers that be called it quits.  That meant a lot to us.  It was sad packing up knowing that we won't be back until next year.  But it gives us something to look forward to.  Thanks for all the support in Chicago all summer,  Especially Denise McGowan and John the Soundman from Navy Pier.  Can't wait until next summer.
