This was the second game of a double header, having made up a rained out gig from last week at the Morris earlier in the day. I guess we should be careful for what we wish for because, as much bitching as I did about the cold weather, Friday was Africa hot!! And Humid!! Although the rain threatened, it never showed up, so we got to play. It was a smaller crowd than usual, (most likely because of the chance of rain, and the fact that people would just burst into flames, due to the heat) but it was every bit as rowdy. My good friend and mentor, Darryl Buchanan was in the audience. And O.J. Lewis sat in on guitar all night and dazzled me with his playing. The whole band seemed fully recovered from the heat prostration we suffered in the afternoon, especially Larry, and actually played pretty well. All in all it was a great end to a long, hard day. I want to thank Nick for having us, the hardy souls who came out to party with us, Chappy for the shots, and especially the waitresses. They know why. Let's go to the tape....

| Deanna and Krista, in a very happy mood. | Guess who was having a birthday? | This is Christine. See what happens when you give an old man a compliment? |
| Larry mingles with his adoring fans. | Hardy, checking if Jan's dress smells as good as it looks. | A true Power Trio. |
| Charlie trying to trade goods for services. Doesn't look like it's going too well. | Mandingo stays on good terms with the waitresses 'cause that's where the beer comes from. | A rather perky wait staff that night. |
| God bless the man who invented the Tank Top. | If you think he's concentrating on the music, you're only half right. | Here's the other half. |
| O.J. shows me a little "somethin' somethin'". | Deanna and Chris. How'd that guy get in there? | Love that Budweiser roof. |
